So I couldn't work out on Friday because of work and school, but I did do some beer tasting with the Cal Poly Brew Crew. I think anybody can forgive me for that one.
Today was a great day out at work. The weather was less than cooperative but we still saw a good amount of people out at wonderful Avila Beach. Today was also one of my busiest days at work. We got to set up a couple of "Awesome Days at the Beach" for one lucky family and a "California Classic" for another. It was cool to get to show some new people what we do and practice with our equipment. I felt like we all got a bit better at what we do today and had a great time with it. Learning to set up the new volleyball net was another high point of our day. The only thing that I could say was less than perfect about the day was the awkward pass that some girls from a softball team tried to make on Michael and myself. That was all kinds of uncomfortable, but nothing that could put a damper on our nice day.
After work I was lucky enough to be able to do some volunteering with the local kids at Children's Day in the Plaza at Mission Plaza in SLO. I got to spend some time playing with RC cars; it made me all nostalgic. I was so happy to see so many people in the community coming out to do something cool for the children and how much they all seemed to enjoy themselves there. While I was there we even saw the beginning of a wedding ceremony in the Mission Cathedral. It was kinda cool to see the bride and groom come out of the Cathedral at the end of the ceremony but my favorite thing by far was the fact that the Mission actually rang its bells instead of playing a recording. Thats so classy and so hard to come by nowadays. Good call Mission San Luis.
Hope today was a great precursor for the rest of this Spring!
