Today might not have been our most productive day as far as renting equipment, but we excelled in a couple of other areas. One of the many really cool things about Avila Beach is the amount of BBQ pits available for public use. From sunrise to sunset, it seems like there are always people grilling something up. Fortunately, my mom blessed with me charm and raised me to be a gentlemen so therefore when someone offers to let me sample their amazing BBQ'd food... there is no chance of me turning them down.

Just behind our Beach Butlerz kiosk that is set up on the corner of San Juan St/Front St in Avila is a playgroud, a basketball court, and a small grassy area. The grassy area is home to several of the BBQ pits I previously mentioned. Today one of those BBQ pits was claimed by an amazing Filipino family who BBQ'd amazing Filipino food while they celebrated one of the family members birthdays. After a bit of small talk about our business and what we offer (amazing beach loungers and umbrellas) our boss Michael had found his way over to the table and before he could say yes or no he had a full plate. Soon after, Meredith and I were in the same boat. We had our choice of home style pork, chicken, fruit, and several other dishes. I think I tried just about every item available AND I got Hi-C juice box! A HI-C JUICEBOX! When is the last time you had one of those?

Thanks to Jules who supplied us with a Beach Butler picture, his family and friends who filled our stomachs, and Happy Birthday to his nephew Jason!  It was awesome. I'm starting to feel kind of hungry again and I remember seeing cake on the table... I wonder what that tastes like? :)
